European runner-up standings

Since there is some confusion over the rules regarding runners-up in Europe's WC qualifying region. In the larger groups, games against the last-place team are removed. Here are the rankings of potential runner-up teams. This list presumes that Holland, Italy and Portugal will join Ukraine as group winners. All other current group leaders are included. All you can see, it is most likely that group 8 will produce a runner-up qualifier, even with Malta holding Croatia today.

- - goals against, Pt - points, Gp - Group number, PT2 - Estimated point total for the team if they were to finish second. This number is not the only possible figure, in many cases.
